Why Book an Electric Cab Instead of a Regular Taxi?
1. Fixed Fare, No Surge — Ever
Our operating cost per kilometre is tied to electricity (₹2.8–4 per km) not petrol (₹8–10/km). That means our margins are stable enough to guarantee the same fare at 2 AM as at 2 PM, during monsoon weekends as during festival weeks. Ola and Uber's surge multipliers hit 1.5–2× precisely when you need a cab most — a Diwali Pune–Mumbai run on Uber Intercity has been seen at ₹9,500+ versus our flat ₹5,000.
2. Premium Ride, Not a Compact Hatchback
Many electric cab apps in India run compact hatchbacks or small crossovers that are great for intra-city runs but cramped on a 3-hour outstation haul. GoZevv runs the MG Windsor EV — a proper premium CUV with captain-style rear seats, a 17-inch infotainment display, panoramic glass roof and a 331 km MIDC-certified range that handles Pune–Shirdi, Mumbai–Nashik and Mumbai–Shirdi on a single charge.
3. Toll-Free on Select Maharashtra Highways
Under the Maharashtra EV Policy 2021, battery-electric vehicles are toll-exempt on Samruddhi Mahamarg and Atal Setu (MTHL), and qualify for concessions on select corridors. This is a legal benefit that diesel or petrol taxis cannot offer — and we pass 100% of the saving into your fixed fare.
4. Silent, Fume-Free, Zero Tailpipe Emissions
A typical Pune–Mumbai round trip on a diesel Innova emits around 45 kg of CO₂. On our MG Windsor EV that number drops to around 9 kg (grid-source adjusted). The cabin is pin-drop silent, which matters when you are taking a work call en route to the airport or sleeping on an early-morning Shirdi darshan trip.
5. Driver Knows Every Entrance
Our chauffeurs are full-time employees (not aggregator gig drivers), trained on Mumbai CSMIA Terminal 1 vs Terminal 2 entry points, Hinjewadi IT Park Phase 1/2/3 gates, Shirdi Sai Sansthan VIP darshan gate timings, and every 5-star hotel porte-cochère in Pune and Mumbai. You never have to navigate for them.
6. Transparent — Booking Stays Honest
You get the driver's name, phone number and vehicle number 2 hours before pickup. Live GPS tracking link for your family. On-arrival SMS. Invoice delivered to WhatsApp within 5 minutes of drop-off. We never ask for cash top-ups, tips or toll reimbursements mid-journey.
The Electric Cab You Will Ride — MG Windsor EV
We chose a single vehicle, maintained to a single standard. Every GoZevv booking is fulfilled on an MG Windsor EV — no guessing which car will arrive, no 'driver mismatch'.
Electric Cab — Frequently Asked Questions
What is an electric cab and how is it different from a regular taxi? +
An electric cab is a taxi powered entirely by a battery-electric vehicle (BEV) — no petrol, no diesel, zero tailpipe emissions. GoZevv runs a 100% MG Windsor EV fleet with a 331 km MIDC-certified range. Unlike CNG or diesel cabs, our electric cabs are silent, fume-free and do not surge during peak hours because our operating cost per kilometre is fixed, not tied to volatile fuel prices.
How much does an electric cab cost in India? +
Electric cab fares on GoZevv are fixed and all-inclusive. Sample fares (April 2026): Pune to Mumbai ₹5,000 one-way; Mumbai Airport to Pune ₹2,800; Pune to Shirdi ₹5,000; Nashik to Mumbai ₹4,500; Pune to Lonavala ₹1,800; Pune to Mahabaleshwar ₹3,200. All fares include toll, driver bhatta and GST. No surge, no hidden charges.
Is an electric cab really cheaper than an Uber or Ola? +
Yes, especially on intercity and airport routes. During peak hours and festival weekends, Uber Intercity and Ola Outstation surge 1.5–2×, pushing a Mumbai–Pune fare to ₹6,500–9,500. GoZevv's ₹5,000 is guaranteed 365 days a year — which works out to roughly ₹32/km versus aggregator peak rates of ₹45–55/km.
Do electric cabs pay toll on Maharashtra highways? +
Under the Maharashtra EV Policy 2021, battery-electric vehicles are exempt from paying toll on Samruddhi Mahamarg and Atal Setu (Mumbai Trans Harbour Link), plus reduced rates on select corridors. On the Mumbai-Pune Expressway the standard toll (~₹395) is currently levied but GoZevv pre-pays and absorbs it into your fixed fare — so you are never charged an 'extra toll' line item.
Will the electric cab run out of charge mid-route? +
No. The MG Windsor EV has a 331 km MIDC-certified range (~265 km highway real-world). All of our outstation routes — Pune-Mumbai (150 km), Mumbai-Shirdi (240 km), Pune-Nashik (210 km), Mumbai-Nashik (170 km) — are covered on a single full charge. For longer round-trips, we plan a Tata Power or Statiq fast-charge stop midway (Khalapur, Kagal or Kasara).
Which cities does GoZevv's electric cab service cover? +
Pune (all areas including Hinjewadi, Baner, Wakad, Kharadi, Koregaon Park, Viman Nagar, Magarpatta), Mumbai (CSMIA T1/T2, BKC, Andheri, Powai, Dadar, South Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane), Nashik, Shirdi, Lonavala, Khandala, Mahabaleshwar, Panchgani, Kolhapur and Ahmednagar.
Can I book an electric cab for airport pickup? +
Yes. We offer fixed-fare electric cab airport pickup at Mumbai CSMIA (Terminal 1 & Terminal 2) from ₹2,800 to Pune, and Pune Airport pickups to Mumbai from ₹2,800. Flight tracking, 45 minutes of free waiting for delays, meet-and-greet at the arrivals gate with a printed placard.
How do I book an electric cab online? +
Three ways: (1) Book online at gozevv.in in under 30 seconds — select route, date, time, pay online or at drop; (2) Call +91 84467 81432; (3) WhatsApp us at the same number for instant confirmation. You will receive a booking SMS with driver name, vehicle number and live-track link 2 hours before pickup.
Are electric cabs better for long outstation trips? +
Absolutely, for three reasons. First, fixed fares (no surge on Pune-Shirdi weekend darshan, Mumbai-Nashik Kumbh traffic or Pune-Lonavala monsoon weekends). Second, silent ride — MG Windsor's NVH levels are substantially lower than a diesel Innova, which matters across 3–5 hour journeys. Third, built-in cooling: 50 litres of boot space + panoramic sunroof + premium captain seats for rear passengers.
What makes GoZevv different from other electric cab operators like Green Rides, BluSmart or Evera? +
Three things. (1) Fixed 365-day pricing — no night surge, no festival markup. (2) MG Windsor premium electric CUV (not a compact hatchback or crossover) with captain seats, 17-inch display, panoramic glass roof. (3) Intercity + airport + corporate focus (not just intra-city app hailing), so our drivers know every airport terminal, every hotel entrance and every IT park gate.
